Do recommend. Toy Story 2 didn’t leave me as satisfied as their other films tend to, so I’m a little worried about the threequel being the next Pixar joint.
But Up was great, and it was perfect in 3D. Also, along with Wall-E, the film marks a much more thematically mature direction for Pixar, with themes that reach beyond the typical “be true to yourself” kids flick fare. Both Wall-E and Up manage to keep the weight of their message in check with plenty of light-hearted humor, though. Dug the Dog will be quoted for years to come.
Pixar is now 10 for 10, with Toy Story 3 on deck.
I was a little nervous about seeing Up in 3D, though I can now reccomend the experience without reservation. There were long stretches of the film where I completely forgot about the extra dimension.
