Dexter (James Manos, Jr. - 2006)

I was waiting for title-sequence to get to this one. After watching season three of Dexter when I chanced to live in an apartment with free showtime, I was immediately hooked on this show. To say nothing of the storylines of the episodes themselves, or how they manage to build on one another, episode-by-episode and season-by-season while branching and growing in directions that are consistently unpredictable and thrilling, this is the first program I’ve watched where even the title sequence is its own little two minute masterpiece. It’s captivating to watch Michael C. Hall stretch the rituals of waking up into acts of such unexpected savagery.
