People of Earth: is it okay if we all agree to refrain from likening our political opponents to Adolf Hitler, or Nazis in general? Unless you’re speaking to an actual Nazi, in which case I can sort of see where you’re coming from.

Otherwise it’s absurd, it’s embarrassing, and it showcases a basic lack of analytical ability on behalf of the speaker. Plus, when you do it to a Representative who also happens to be A) Jewish and B) Gay, you’re sort of asking to have your ass handed back to you.
